OUR STORY

We started in the corporate world working in the IT and business sectors. Through our work, we saw organisations and people struggling with using technology to its potential, and finding it hard to get independent advice. So we ditched the business suits and formed Digital Journey, a certified Social Enterprise with a vision to help New Zealand become more digitally capable and confident.

OUR SOCIAL IMPACT

As an Akina Certified Social Enterprise, we prioritise making a positive impact and aligning ourselves with purpose driven businesses and organisations who share our values. We are passionate about our work, and feel proud to be working alongside organisations making a difference in the education, government and health sectors, and as part of innovative projects with a sustainability and educational focus. The businesses we work with are purpose driven, who, like us, value their social impact alongside profit.

IMPACT BEFORE PROFIT
THE IMPACT OF OUR WORK

Sapere Research Group found in 2014 that a modest increase in New Zealand’s digital maturity would result in a $34 billion productivity gain. This amounts to a $67,000 increase per business in New Zealand.

From schools to businesses, we are helping grow a more digitally able New Zealand. We’ve developed free Digital Action Plans that have already helped thousands of organisations see where they’re at and get support to improve.

  • To date, we have helped over 17,000 businesses “do technology better”

  • Independent research reported that 92% of these businesses made productivity gains after completing our assessment plans, receiving action plans and seeing themselves benchmarked across their industries. That is a huge economic return for the 509,000 businesses in New Zealand, as well as a significant return from our free assessment services.

OUR PARTNERS

With the support of Ministry of Awesome, as a Member of Te Ōhaka – Centre for Growth & Innovation, as well as our partners, we are able to do what we do. We couldn’t have started or continue our work without their support. It is great to have partners working with us who share our vision and values.
