Logan Park High School: A Cultural Journey with Mana Whenua and Modern Branding

We embarked on a cultural journey with Logan Park High School in Dunedin to refresh their website and brand. This project explored the school’s collegial and mature-aspiring culture, celebrating diverse achievements within a family of shared values.

Collaborating closely with Simon Kahn and Andre Te Hira, who, as mana whenua, developed the pipipi logo, we integrated a design featuring the brown creeper and a leaf. The leaf’s design inspired a circular pattern reminiscent of a kohanga, reflecting the school’s heritage.

The final design, incorporating Tauraka (landing place) and Pīpipi (brown creeper), powerfully captures Logan Park’s commitment to growth, exploration, and academic excellence.
